Who are we?
We are a discipleship ministry in the church for young adults (aged 19-26), with emphases on Bible study and community life. In particular, we aim for young adults in the church to be able to know and handle God’s word, develop a Christian worldview and build godly relationships in Christ, so as to faithfully live out their calling as God’s people.
Why the specific need for a young adult ministry?
We recognize that young adulthood encompasses various life changes such as National Service, work, university, marriage, among other things. These changes can represent challenges to the young adult’s faith but can also present opportunities for the Christian to mature. We aim for the work of discipleship to be done effectively during this period in their lives through Word and community. Specifically, we aim for young adults to stay and grow in their respective Discipleship Groups in the ministry for about 6 years before moving on to join or form adult Discipleship Groups in the church. We pray that God will use this time to strengthen young adults so as to serve the church and to evangelize non-believers.
We meet most Saturdays at 4-630pm in room 404.
For most meetings, we split into various Discipleship Groups for Bible Studies after a common time together.
For some others, we have combined sessions with talks that cover various categories such Bible interpretation, contemporary issues Christians face, the big storyline of the Bible, the Apostles Creed, among other things.
