Church Retreat 2021

Date: 11 – 12 June                Theme: Worship               Speaker: Dr Walter McConnell
Retreat Platform: Friday Night via Zoom / Saturday at host’s house

Church Retreat will be happening this year in a hybrid setting over zoom and physical gatherings in small groups. This will be a good time for church members to get together and fellowship over food and the Word.

As the physical gatherings will be held in homes, we are looking for church members who are willing to open up their homes to host a group for the retreat. This will only be for the Saturday programme. If you are interested to host a group, do ensure that you are able to provide the following:

  1. Space for discussion and mini-game
  2. Internet + TV for screening worship and sermon

You may indicate your interest to be a host in the Church Retreat registration form. Stay tuned for registration and retreat details that will be provided in the coming weeks.

140th Anniversary Prayer Meeting

The Presbyterian Church in Singapore will be celebrating her 140th Anniversary this year, on 11 July 2021. There are various events leading up to the event, one of which is the 140th Anniversary Prayer Meetings.

The Prayer Meetings will start from Easter Sunday until Synod Sunday in July, altogether a total of 14 weeks, symbolising 140 years. At each prayer meeting, 3 churches will be invited to introduce their histories, ministries and prayer requests for the attendees to pray.

Day: Every Wednesday (excluding week of 26th April, due to Synod’s AGM)
Time: 8 to 9.15pm
Location: Online via Zoom and YouTube Live on Synod Office’s YouTube channel

Except for the 1st Wednesday of each month when we have our own church prayer meeting, we do encourage you to attend the Synod’s prayer meeting to pray for our 37 Presbyterian churches.
