A Study Of Revelation (via Zoom)

Date: 20 Aug (Sat)              Time: 10am – 12noon

As the climax of biblical prophecy, the Book of Revelation is God’s great gift to us for understanding his majestic plan and the challenges of the last days. Unfortunately, the book has sometimes been abused by unscrupulous interpreters, who peddle interpretations for their own agenda. Bearing in mind that God’s gift should never be abused, this class seeks to understand the book on its own terms. To that end an overview of the book’s plot will be provided, with key themes highlighted, so that we may have a good grasp of the book and better prepare ourselves for the great day of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As there is much to cover, the lesson will be taught in two parts. The first part will cover chapters 1-3, while the second part, which will be taught next year, will cover the rest of the book. The teacher will be Dr Tan Kim Huat, who is the Chen Su Lan Professor of New Testament at Trinity Theological College. Please register with Alvin Yip at (alvinyip@trueway.org.sg).

ASK Class (via Zoom)

Dates: 15, 22, 29 Sep; 6, 13 Oct (Thu)
Time: 8pm – 9.30pm

Session 1: The Bible – fact or fiction?
Session 2: The Claims of Jesus – true or false?
Session 3: Jesus Christ – dead or alive?
Session 4: Questions? Questions? Questions?
Session 5: Faith – fact or feeling?

This is an exploratory class for seekers who are keen to know more about Christianity. Each session begins with a short presentation which examines a certain aspect of the Christian faith. This is followed by Q&A where everyone can ask questions in a safe environment. Session 4 is devoted to answering participants’ questions which require a more extensive explanation. This class will be facilitated by Rev Lee Kien Seng and brother Leong Kok Hwa. Please register with Alvin Yip with your full name, contact number and email.

A Study Of Book of Acts (via Zoom)

Date: 17, 24 Sep; 1, 8, 15, 22 Oct 2022 (Sat)
Time: 10am to 12noon
Teacher: Mrs Michelle Tan

Jesus has not left His disciples to continue His saving mission for the world without help.  The book of Acts traces the powerful work of the Holy Spirit   working through the apostles and many others to bring about the fast and vast expansion of God’s kingdom inaugurated by our Lord. Walk through the missionary journeys of Paul as he systematically shared and taught God’s word, planted churches and discipled early believers. Be encouraged as these faithful servants courageously faced severe persecution, persevered, and with God’s might, accomplished great things for His kingdom. Yet their work shows how God cares for each person as He sends them far and wide to touch that one life with the Gospel. Join us and be inspired by the wonderful anecdotes and astounding results of missions.
